- I suppose not even Japan is immune to the forces of change we're talking about. The more I think about the skill sets 21st-century workers need, the more I realize just how important critical thinking is. The thing is, how can you gauge a prospective employee's critical thinking ability?

- That's a tough one, all right. Employers say that's what they're looking for when they assess job candidates. But they often find it hard to describe exactly what critical thinking entails.

- I would say that it means being able to solve problems creatively, to be willing to challenge conventional wisdom, and to not be afraid to make mistakes, and to learn from them.

- When you come right down to it, learning is the key, isn't it? The people who succeed aren't necessarily the most talented. The quality that sets them apart from other folks is that they never stop learning. Most of us go through life thinking that our education stopped when we left school. But if you're trying to increase your knowledge and learn new skills, you will be well ahead of the pack.

かたる 英語 電車内勉強

給料生活をしていた頃は通勤電車のなかでラジオ英語講座の勉強をしていました
電車のシートに腰掛けて揺れに耐えながら録音したヴィニエットを聞いて書きとっていました
今は家の掘りごたつ（さすがにもう電気は入れていません）で勉強をつづけています

昨日都心へ出かける用事があり何年ぶりかで電車の中で勉強しました
すると電車の揺れのため書きとる字が乱れに乱れてしかたありませんでした

通勤していた頃はできていたのにどうしたことでしょう
バランス能力が落ちたのでしょうか
それとも以前もまともには書きとれていなかったのでしょうか

たった数年でそれほど身体能力が極端に低下したとは思えません
家でゆったりと書くのに慣れたので突然の汚い字にびっくりしたのかな
それとも電車の揺れが以前よりひどくなったのかしらん

上手く書きとれないことが気になって肝心の内容があまり頭に入りませんでした

これに類することが気がつかないうちに生活の端々で起きているのかもしれません

給料生活をしていた頃はやりたいことを劣悪な条件を耐え忍びながら何とかやっていた
そして今は自分がやりたいことだけを恵まれた条件の中で楽々とやっている

人間は生きていくうえで必要がなくなった能力をさっさと切り捨てるのだそうです
春になったらパラリと冬服を脱ぎ捨てるように
そういうことが知らないうちにからだのあちこちで起きているのかもしれません
